We were appointed to install approximately 150 linear metres of free issue DN500 DI pipework for Glanua UK. We were responsible for the design and fabrication of all supporting elements including brackets, hop-ups, small steel fabrications and hand-railing.
The project scope included the testing and assurance of the full pipework run, as well as the structural design of all support brackets. All design structures were made in line with Thames Water Asset Standards and WIMES specifications (8.03 and 8.08 specifically). We also engaged in the interdisciplinary review process with Thames Water to correctly align with the projects high standards.
We provided structural calculations including wind, thrust and thermal expansion for the brackets while delivering mechanical designs of rocker joints.
All steelwork for the project was fabricated in-house following our welding quality management procedures ISO 3834 and BS EN 1090-2 which included special pipe sections such as spinning flange 90-degree bends.
We were required to provide all handover and quality records and declarations of performance as required, where we remained fully compliant.
